Healthy 'life-style'
I've always been that kind of lazy, junk-food eating girl, but for the last couple weeks I've actually have been trying my best to stop that. Through out my life I've probably done countless amounts of diets but they never tend to work, well, to be honest I give up really quickly I expect result the very next day and now I've realised that is not how it works. I'm doing it more like a 'life-style' and it's not like I've given up in pizzas, nutella and cookies, I'm just taken it easier. Living alone or away from home can be sometimes hard 'foodwise', because you most probably won't feel like cooking so its way easier to put a pizza in the oven for 15 min. I mean, you know it's going to be good, it's cheap and you don't have to do much. But it's not that hard to change that, you just have to make that little effort, and although you may go with baby steps, you can get there. I heard that once you do something for a month it becomes more of a habit or routine, so if you can pull it for that long, it's not going to be effort anymore.Since I'm such a picky eater, I don't like just eating those kind of elaborate plates I find on google after searching: Healthy meals for you. Therefore, I make up my own foods with whatever I have and like that is good for me and just mix it. This is an idea of something I came up with which I normally take it with me to uni and its deliciouuuuuuuuuuus, and super easily fast to make.
All I use:
-2 eggs
-Avocado
-Apple
-Some sunflower seeds
-A little olive oil
-Teaspoon of salt
This ingredients
Eggs: are particularly rich in the two antioxidants Lutein and Zeaxanthine. They only have 77 calories, with 5 grams of fat and 6 grams of protein with all 9 essential amino acids. Eggs score high on a scale called the Satiety Index, which means that eggs are particularly capable of making you feel full and eat less overall calories.
Avocado: They help you get more of these nutrients from other foods .They make you feel full, half of one contains 3.4 grams of fibre. Also could help keep your heart healthy. Plus the oleic acid in avocados can help reduce cholesterol levels.
Sunflower seeds: They contain bone-healthy minerals. Besides calcium, your bones need magnesium and copper to stay strong also contain Vitamin E, which helps ease arthritic pain which also brings a glow to your skin. They ease every condition that’s inflammatory in nature, such as joint pain, gastric ulcers, skin eruptions, asthma and such and that’s because sunflower seeds are loaded with antioxidants.
Apples: Are known to lower cholesterol level. An extensive body of research has linked high soluble fibre intake with a slower buildup of cholesterol-rich plaque in your arteries. one of the best things you can eat to help detoxify your liver is apples. Moreover contains quercetin which can help boost and fortify your immune system.
How I do it:
Firstly, I get my avocado and apple then I chop down into little cubes.
Now I put some olive oil in the frying pan, and when it's hot enough my 2 eggs, and then scramble them pretty self explanatory and then I add that teaspoon of salt.
Next put the eggs in a plate and clean my frying pan.
Last but not least for my final toping for the scramble eggs I put the sunflower seeds in the frying pan until the get a little burn, but not black ( that has happened to me before).Once I set up my plate with all those yummy things sprinkled the sunflower seeds over the eggs the meal is ready to eat !
Sincerely,
Paloma
